Overview

What is the Industrial Group?

The industrial group covers alkyd, synthetic and nitrocellulose-based paints, primers and complementary products used for painting machinery, equipment and steel structures. Most of these products are single-component and air-drying; they are easy and economical to apply.

They provide reliable protection in interior and exterior environments with moderate corrosion risk. Industrial paints produced under the Hilal Boya brand are also part of this group and are available in a wide range of colors from the RAL color chart.

System Structure

Protection layer by layer

01

Anti-Rust Primer

A zinc phosphate pigmented synthetic or alkyd primer protects the metal against rust and ensures adhesion of the topcoat.

02

Synthetic / Alkyd Topcoat

A topcoat that forms a glossy, durable film suitable for interior and exterior use.

03

Nitrocellulose Option

For mass production and fast-turnaround jobs that require very fast drying, nitrocellulose primers and paints are preferred.

Areas of Use

Where is it used?

Machinery and equipment
Steel structures
Agricultural and construction machinery
Metal doors, railings and frames
Mass-produced metal parts
General maintenance and repair paints
Surface Preparation

The right start, a long life

  1. 01

Oil, grease and dirt on the metal surface must be cleaned with a suitable solvent.

  2. 02

Rust and mill scale must be removed with a wire brush, sandpaper or scraper.

  3. 03

A suitable adhesion primer must be used on surfaces such as galvanized steel and aluminum.

Application Notes

What to watch out for during application

  1. 01

The paint must be stirred thoroughly before use and thinned with the recommended thinner if necessary.

  2. 02

The topcoat should be applied after the primer has dried completely.

  3. 03

Several thin coats of the recommended thickness give better results than a single thick coat.

Mixing ratio, pot life and recoat intervals vary by product; the product's technical data sheet should always be used for exact values.
